Just a little project I've been working on. Still really need to give it a name, any ideas?

So, I thought I would post about a new product from Eryone that I found on Amazon UK.  This is very much like the Whambam product but a more economical option.

The great thing about this is you can use the Pinda probe on it.. so you can add auto bed levelling too.

They currently do it in four sizes starting from 13.99 delivered :-)

165 x 165 - 13.99
220 x 220 - 28.00
235 x 235 - 30.00
310 x 310 - 45.00

So to add a spring steel sheet with PEI to an Ender 3 would be 30.00.. that's got to be a decent upgrade :-)

Check it out - https://amzn.to/2PfW6SO

This is what I'm going to be using on my CR10 to Prusa upgrade :-)

Pretend Prusa Build's / Turning a CR10S into a Prusa... [Build Log]
« on: April 19, 2019, 12:31:30 AM »
So.. I've already done a few upgrades to my CR10s but thought wouldn't it be good to turn it into a Prusa :-)

It will be known as the Creality Prusa  .. :-)

The upgrades I've already done are..
Converted it to a 24v system (PSU, Heated bed and element heater)
Changed the board to a MKS Gen L
Installed some TMC2130 Drivers

Infact you can see everything here..

THIS IS NOT THE FINISHED PRINTER... JUST AS IT CURRENLY IS.. . this is a build log after all :-)

BUT.. now I'm up for a new challenge. I would love to turn my CR10s into a Prusa.. well as close to it as possible.

I'm going to order all the bits today but in short this 'should' do everything the Prusa does except for the XYZ calibration. It will be using the Einsy Rambo board with endless stops, filament sensor, Pinda V2 prob, spring steel bed etc.. It will run on modified Prusa software and have the direct drive full metal extruder. :-)

More details will be added soon.. including a shopping list of where I bought all the items.. wish me luck !   Any questions or comments please post below.

Pretend Prusa Hardware / Clone Textured PEI covered bed - 27
« on: April 18, 2019, 02:49:01 PM »
I recently found a textured bed for sale on Ali-Express for 27.. Just arrived today so thought I would give it a go.

Needed to change my Z-Offset as this boards thinner than my other, still might need a bit of a tweak and from what I've read I also need to increase my bed temperature a tiny bit.

Still, first prints going well.  I got it from https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Double-Side-Powdered-textured-PEI-Sheet-for-Prusa-i3-MK2-5-MK3-3d-printer/33002519665.html  and took just under 2 weeks to arrive.

Will posts results after I've had a bit more of a play.

Pretend Prusa Hardware / Add lights to your Prusa for $5
« on: April 18, 2019, 01:52:13 PM »
Decided to create the mod as it's a cheap option for adding LED lights to your Prusa..

This little 24v strip can be purchased off eBay for less than $5.  Print two of the little clips and just attach it on. :-)

To fit you will need to do the following

1. Purchase the 24v LED strip.. do a search on eBay for 'car auto roof reading light lamp 24v 8w' and you should be able to find one.

2. Extend the power wires by about 20cm

3. Feed the wires in and connect them to the PSU 24v connectors on the board

4. Click the light in place on the freshly printed clips and enjoy :-)

The clips have been designed to just snap in place, no fixings are required. Another bonus is this strip also has an on / off button so you can easily toggle this additional mod.
