Hi, thanks for the update... Let me know if you think this was the problem.

Cheers,

Steve

ahhh.. okay.  I wonder if your filename was too long.   The CR10 Pro firmware has this problem so I'm guessing it would be the same on the D9.

If you wouldn't mind seeing how long the name is on the file you were trying to print...

Hi, not sure, do you know if it was the extruder or bed?   I can look at giving the thermal warning more range maybe.

Hi,

Welcome and many thanks for the ideas.  I have enabled G29 save so it's actually saved and does not reset after the G28.  Try adding a M420 S1 to recover the saved mesh.  You shouldn't need the M500, but you can add this into your code start if needed.

I'll have a look at enabling the G26 for you.

I've put it on the list. will be looking at it again in the next week or so. I'm currently working on the CR10 V2 at the moment.

You could try flipping BOTH 3 pin connectors. So the one on the board and the one at the extruder.  Some people are finding it's shorting out on the other pins on the mainboard.  So if you flip them both then report back :-)

Its had to tell from photos..

Is that the standard bed you are printing on?  I still think you are to close from the photos. ,Also, try with a different filament.

Does your gcode have a g29 in it?

Sorry I've no idea about this firmware, you are best to ask the author as I do not know what he has changed or included for.

Nicedevil,  you need to change your z offset.  When it starts printing again click in the more menu and you will see babysteps. 0.025mm, just click the up one a few times until you're happy. You do this when it's printing.. so really easy to adjust and it also saves this value so you don't have to do it again :-)

Pete,  not at my PC but I'll have a look if I still have it for you to upload.  Will be tomorrow now.

Thanks,

Steve

It should be fine, as long as it clears your print and drops below your nozzle when printing that's all it needs to do. I think tolerance is something like 2 - 3.5 or something like that depending on which version you're using.  It might be because it's being too squshed on the first layer.. It also depends on what layer height it was printed at as well.   But, no worries it won't affect anything.

Hi, yes its enabled but set to zero.. so you can just send some gcode commands to enter your value. I'm interested in how you get on, not had time to play with it myself.

Superb, glad you sorted it.  Yes, for others you can use the M851 Xxx Yxx Zxx to set the offset for the BLTouch and then do a M500 to save it to the eeprom, then a M503 to check it's been saved.

So....
M851 X20 Y-3 Z-1.52
M500

I know you've already done this, but posted for others :-)

Good news and happy printing....

Steve

You haven't plugged in the black wire to the Z-max socket by the looks on your mainboard.

Hi, if it's moving up then the pin is showing triggered all the time.  Try flipping around your connector again and see if that sorts the problem out. :-)

Also, might as well update to 1.5 whilst you're at it ....  lol
