Should this firmware work if I temporarily remove the BL-Touch?

Hi, no as that's working as your Z endstop.  I can make a few changes if you wish which will enable you to run on a stock machine if it helps?

I have a sidewinder x1 v4 and a BL Touch v3.1 and I installed it according to your youtube tutorial. I haven't read the PDF until I already burned the Atmel microchip on the BL Touch and realized that for SW v4 I needed to rotate the pin connector 180 degrees.
In the meantime I installed Rob's firmware but today my new BL Touch and I'll try you new 1.3 firmware version.

I guess that that enabling the BL Touch from the menu is not trivial but thanks anyway and thank you for your effort to make the updated firmware for the community.

New version runs well!

Went to do my bed PID and it wasn't there. Had an issue where I tried to recompile it with PIDTEMPBED enabled and for some reason either it flashed weirdly--so I reverted..can your next version have the bed PID enabled? Watching the default PID values are too rapid for the X1 it can slow down a lot.
